Fuerteventura never stops feeling new to me, no matter how many times I return. Each visit has the same freshness and quiet magic as the first, like the island somehow resets my senses every time I land there. Gran Canaria, especially Tufia, holds something even more personal. It’s where photography began for me. My first photo ever was taken there, and I’ve never been able to delete it. It feels like a promise I made to myself, to keep creating and to honor where that spark started.
Even the short 30-minute boat ride to Lanzarote stays in my memory. It’s the smoothest journey I’ve ever experienced, and watching the islands rise from the ocean is nothing short of breathtaking. There’s a perspective from the water that makes everything feel grander, quieter, and somehow more alive.
